My name is Kartik Mahto. I am a resident of village Hari, district Ranchi, Jharkhand. Previously I used to farm using traditional methods, where open nursery preparation led to more pest and disease outbreaks and the quality of seedlings was not good. With the support of Sashanka Agro Tech Private Limited, I received the facility of a polyhouse.

Now I am preparing protected, disease-free and high-quality seedlings. Along with my own use, I am also providing quality seedlings of brinjal, capsicum, tomato, cauliflower, cabbage, papaya and many other crops to numerous nearby farmers. The polyhouse has significantly increased my income. With timely availability of quality seedlings, nearby farmers are also getting better production and more profit.
